well, my avm message changed from "not found..." to "case received ..." around 11/5.(may be because I spoke to an IIO a week or so before that)

my AVM always said "case not found" until 11/21. I checked after I filed I485. I talked to an IIO. I did the FP. Nothing changed the AVM until 11/21. I guess AVM might give little clue of what\'s going on.

Your I140 was for AOS. Here you go. I140 for CP applicants will have to wait for a while.
INS has to bring the file back from consulate.
