March 140 Approvals track here..

NVC has received my case as well

Just spoke to the NVC operator and they rec\'d my case on 03/25. My information is:

gcOgc, TSC, I-140 AD 03/11, EB2R, PCC Applied 03/19(Houston), NVC RD 03/25

Did you have to give your I-140 receipt number to the operator? My attorney has not provided me with this. Has anyone in a similar situation been able to get NVC RD status from the operator without I-140 receipt details. I know my I-140 AD date, service center etc. I also know my LC details because my attorney gave me a copy of the I-140 filing.

I provided the I-140 receipt number, but you can try calling the NVC

operator and see if you can get information some other way.

If your I-140 has been approved, then why can\'t you get at least a copy of the approval notice from the attorney. The notice has the receipt number. Receipt number is also on the cancelled check (for the I-140 application fees) and the I-140 receipt notice. Good luck.
 
My details

I-140 AD 3/13/02(VSC) received at NVC 3/27/02. I called the operator at NVC today. AVM not updated yet.

   I had called NVC today morning. Same reply. They haven\'t yet received. But I saw in the post that one VSC case has been receoved on 03/27 and was approved on 03/13. So looks like mine should be soon.

The AVM is still not been updated for my case.. It says "we are unable to access your case info".. I read somewhere on this board that the AVM gets the case info AFTER the NVC case is created.. Maybe thats true.

   How often do u call the NVC. Is it OK to call the NVC once everyday, or do they note our case number and stop working on that,

I doubt they would note your case !! When they dont have a case for you in the system, where would they note it ? On a post-it and then circulate it around saying "Do Not Process" :)

I called the NVC pretty much every alternate day last week. Now that they DO have a case for me, I\'ll ease up ;-) But knowing the status is really only to satisfy your curiosity. Cuz even if you know the NVC has(n\'t) received your case, there is nothing you can do about it this early in the game.
 
NVC received my case

Today I gave a call to NVC and the operator was very cooperative and she told me that my papers were received in their building on 03/25/2002.When enquired about NVC case #, she told it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the NVC number and 3to 4 weeks for the attorney to receive Packet 3.

So, do you think we can expect to receive P3 by the end of the month? I haven\'t talked to operator at NVC so I don\'t know if my case has been received yet. I will try to call soon and find out.

I got my passport here and my wife got it in India. I came to know about the reciept by talking to an officer not thru the avm. I need to know the website for ny consulate.

I doubt Misty, unless you are lucky

They take 15-20 to enter case after they receive at NVC & then another 2-3 weeks to send packet3.

Tax return form from previous 3 years?

Do we need the copy of the tax return from the past 3 years for the interview?
