ND Vs RD

Could anyone explain the difference between RD and ND?
Which one is of significance?
Does processing dates go by ND or RD
Will everyone with same RD have the same ND and vice-versa?

Its bogus really - If u look at the BCIS wait times they manage to fudge the issue by saying Receipt Notice Date. Go figure.
And anyways how does the whole damn thing matter. They seem to care two hoots about the date , processing times or anything. If the guys would just expose thier methodology atleast we'd know and understand.

Hi All,

Finally, my and my family's GC got approved. Funny thing is that I was expecting e-mail (because my touch date was 05/12/2004) from the UCIS but got the e-mail from lawyer instead. I got the approval notice in hand but my online status is still OLD.

Case History::

RD - 03/12/2002
First FP - Sep. 2002
Changed Apartment - 28th Feb.'2004
Lawyer updated address to UCIS.??????
Got 2nd FP Notice - 10th March' 2004
Got RFE Notice - 15th March'2004
My employer got changed, so couldn't got the RFE reply fast. So, replied on 23rd April.
INS received it on 27th April'2004.
TOUCH DATE: 05/12/2004

Yeah, Got notice on 14th May'2004. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!

cases touched, but no update in status

My family's I-485 cases have been touched on 05/20/2004 (previous touch: 07/19/2002), without any update in status (still shows first FP done on May 22, 2002). Perhaps my recently filed AC-21 letter (and change of representation) prompted the touch. I changed job in January 2004.
