Congrats Did you have to write to consulate to return your I-140 papers or NVC
My I-140 was also approved for CP and at the time I received a packet saying my papers were sent to the consulate in India. I am now concerned whether these papers will be sent back here in time to approve my case.

My details are
RD : 07/29/01
ND : 09/21/01
FP : 12/15/01
EB2, India
AVM says "FP recieved and pending Review". but some of friends having different messages "FP received and Case resumed".
I never made request to do CP but my papers went to NVC and then assigned to Consulate.
I spoke with IIO last week she told that INS VSC will make request to get the I140 at the time of opening my case.
Please explain about your case more. Is it normal to have the AVM message like that?

the AVM mesage you got is standard after FP is taken and under review
Your message should change to FP recieved and processing resumend
after FP has cleared. Were your FP taken on the computer coz you seem to have been FP mid Dec. Your message should have changed to "process resumed". About NVC, I have no clue how that works. I was under the
impression that if your 140 has been approved for CP ( my case ), your papers are forwarded to NVC and to the Consulate from there and need to be back at VSC before your 485 is approved.
I basically want to know of cases where approval has been delayed because of papers being unavailable when case comes up for approval.
