Maintaing both US Greencard and Canada PR!!

Suppose if I get the US GC before I get the Canada PR. Can I maintain the Both of them. How to maintain both.

What are the restriction from US and Canada to maintain both of them.

Please help me on this.

Aim staying US and I applied for Canada PR in Nov 1999 and I got PR documents in October 2000 and they are valid till set 2001,Aim planning to goo Canada along with PR documents( landing).

What are the precautions I need to take (Like opening a bank a/I,SIN number,giving friends address etc..)

Aim also planning to apply for US AC next month(After getting SIN Canada) Does that effect my AC process..

Please Help
