Mailed on 6/28, checks not cashed, no 485 receipts! Please help.

My 485 packet is sent to CSC on 6/28 and as per UPS tracking it reached on 6/29. My checks are not cashed and no receipts yet! People who mailed around 7/27 got their receipts (or atleast checks cashed)! Can any one tell me what should I do in this kind of circumstances? Any one here that had problems with receipts in the past?

Any advice is highly appreciated.

I can understand your frustruation

I had mailed my I485 forms on 6/25 but because of a mistake in the amt , my packet was returned .

I resent my packet with the RIGHT amt on 8/10 .

you may want to call INS or ask your attorney to call on your behalf and find out what exactly is happening ?

I rember your case. If INS goes with same pace they are maintaining now, probably you will get your receipts with in next two weeks.

In my case, I talked to an IIO twice, all they can say was "there is no information in the system!" I don\'t know what to do now! Still wait for some more time (for how long)? Or send another application?

I remember during the month of April 01 some people had withdrawn their I485 and re submitted in May 01 again .

the Logic behind is that they wanted to beat the i245 rush

I don\'t know if re submitting a good idea but I would say there is NO harm in doing that .

speak to your Attorney and discuss this option
 
My experience on my OPT.

Just want to share my experience. Last year, I applied for OPT. The check was not cashed one month after it fileed. I was really worried and thinking apply again. One day, I remember, it was May, 1. I heard from AVM that the check was clearred and to my suprised, the same day, just 2 housrs late, I got the receipt. And the receipt date is April, 27, 4 days before check is cashed.

Can you please tell me app. how long it was taking to get OPT receipts around that time? Just to put things in perspective...

A month to get my OPT receipt.

In Lincoln center last year. Usually it is just two weeks.

Thank you once again for your prompt response. In my case my checks are supposed to be cashed on 8/24 (as per tracking info on this site) that means they are delayed for atleast 10 days. I guess I should wait for some more time. Ofcourse I have no idea what else to do though :(

In my case the checks were cashed the same date as the ND

RD - 4/18
ND - 6/7
Checks cashed - 6/7

If you are some where near you can go to Laguna nigel and enquire..I hope it could yield better results

Pcee, I think if you try calling again(hopefully you might get a good IIO) , and clearly explain them the
case , may be they can help. Or you can get a copy of the checks,
may be that might help. Again , this advise is after reading some postings here. But you know better than me.
 
Finally my checks got cashed in yesterday...

Finally my checks got cashed in yesterday (9/24), now I am waiting for the receipts. Note that they were suppose to be cashed in on 8/24 (as per June tracking thred), instead they got cashed in on 9/24. I hope and wish that I didn\'t loose any wait time because of this for final AOS.

Has any one got EAD from visiting LA office after 90 days and got EAD card. Please help and let us know your experience.

Normally INS mails receipts on the same day they cashed checks, and it takes app. 4 to 5 days to rech the candidate/attorney.
