Mail forwarding for greencard/Change of address prior to getting approved greencard

Hi all!

I just had my AOS interview last week. We are in the process of moving to another state and my lawyer advised us to stick to our old address. I just got an update from USCIS that they will be mailing my greencard soon. All our mail are forwarded to a temporary address now. We will be moving to our new house in a month and I will file for change of address then. I'm worried that I won't receive my greencard. Has anyone had this issue before? Is the greencard mailed using regular mail or does it require a signature? So far I have been receiving all of our forwarded mail but not sure if the one from USCIS would be an exception.

Thanks
Marisol

The GC comes in regular mail (doesn't need signature). I'm sorry I don't know about the forwarding... some of it seems to be dependent on where you live, the mail carrier etc etc

The post office will not forward your mail from USCIS as USCIS has a agreement with the USPS not to forward their mails. So your GC will be sent back.
