Hi guys,

My 485 was approved on Sept 22 and my lawyer has not received it till today. Does anybody know how long it takes. I called the IIO and she confirms it was mailed out on Sept 22.

My notice of intent to deny was posted on 09/29 (Friday) and received by my lawyer today (10/02) - essentially 2nd mailing date. I assume they batch their mail and send it out at the end of the week - so, it should really not take longer than 7-8 days after the notice.

KP, do you know what the reason is (for the Notice of Intent to Deny)? Could you please let us know?

I am sorry to hear about your notice. I am sure that whatever it is, it can be resolved. You are in the loop for another month or so....

ASC - Please see the other string I have posted (its still pretty active). I am not sure, since I have not received the mail yet, but it is something to do with INS thinking that I was out of status for some time.

I have spent all morning today painstakingly going through my passport and ALL the I-20\'s, F-1\'s, H-1\'s, AP\'s and what-have-you\'s to put together my history.

It does not help that most passport stamps cannot be read even when they are fresh, leave alone when they are years old and faded!!

Oh well, such it is...
