maiden name vs. married (last) name

All,

I got married recently and my wife is on a H1B visa. Since she was
already working here on a H1B before we got married, her H1B still has
her maiden name on it.

I filed for my I485 last month and added her name as spouse. Before we
filed for our I485, we got her last name changed on her (1) Drivers
License, (2) Passport, (3) Social Security Card.

My question is: Is she obliged to inform INS of the last name change
and get some kind of amended I94? Her I94 has her maiden name and the
passport has the new married last name. She informed the HR department
of her company and the only thing they asked her to file was a new W-4
for tax purposes.

Any help would be appreciated.

maiden name on I-94 is ok and do not worry about it. everything should be fine

Thanks for your response. More than Maiden name on I94, I am
concerned about the obligation to report to INS about the name
changes. Hope her I485 will not be affected by this.

You can disclose this on I-485 application form, use the last name on which she wants GC to be.
