LUD for I-140 and I-485 - what does it mean?

Hi,

One of my friends in my company filed his I-140 and I-485 ( EB2 category )with CSC during Nov 2004, and he has completed his Finger printing too in Dec 2004. Most of you talking about LUD for I-140 and I-485 in these forum. I am curious to know about LUD and how to check the LUD for I-140 and I-485 so that I can help my friend, and it will also be helpful for me as I have filed my labor in May 2003. Thanks.
