LUD changing

Guys,

My second EAD/AP was approved last week. But I am seeing that the LUD for that EAD application (yes, EAD application) is still changing. Any clues? Any chance they are actually working on my I-485 application? Or am I day dreaming?

Any expert comments?
SK...

The second change occurs when the card is mailed. So, if you are registered for email notification, you'll get 2 additional emails.

I happened to me too. LUD change will stop after 2 changes.

I saw my AP LUD changed for two days and stopped. But the online status remains unchanged. What does this mean? My EAD LUD never changed.

classy,

Same here. Did you apply for 7th year extension or stamping at Department of State ?
I got my passport stamp recently from Washington for 7th year stamp, and LUD date matches with the Issue date of visa stamp ? Not sure, they made any specific update for this.....

Hoping to get approval soon.

I see, thanks. I am a april 2003 filer waiting for I-485 approval. Last update in my case was 08/19/04. What would that mean?

It could mean the officer is working on your case, OR they are moving to send a request for evidence, OR they received your request about the status of your case, OR they are sending finger print notice ....etc., etc.. depends on a number of things. I wish you the best, hoping they are actually in process of adjudicating your case!!!

Why do some people's LUD keep changing before approval or change of status.. and some people's LUD doesnt change until final approval? Any theories stonewall?

No clue! A theory: if they are using computers as we can see they do, I guess that whenever they work on your paper file and decide to go to the further step in process (as described in Standard Operating Procedure that was posted in one of the threads here recently), one would expect they should update the computer file too (and then you will see LUD automatically changed). Maybe some officers just don't do that... but I don't know.
