LUD change after RFE response

Hello Everybody,

INS issued RFE(for an updated company letter) for my I-485 on 3rd Sep'04.
My attorney told me that he mailed RFE response documents on 23rd Sep'04. As per today 06'Oct, there is no update on case status. Is this common? Generally how many days INS will take to update case status after receving RFE response mail?
I would appreciate your responses.

ND : Oct'02.
FP1 : Dec'02.
FP2 : 24'July 04.
RFE : 03'Sept 04.

Should I call INS to find out wheather they received my RFE response or not?
Its been almost two weeks..
 
Delay in INS update

Our lawyer replied by Fedex on 9/16/04 which was delivered to INS on 9/17/04. But LUD did not change till 9/29/04 when the message changed to one showing that they had received the RFE reply on 9/28/04.
