LUD changed(finally) to 06-20-05 : what could it be ?

Hi Guys,

We are some of the unfortunate people on the board who are still waiting for
I-485 adjudication even though the processing dates are far ahead of our ND's.

Here's my timeline
PD 12-2001
EB3 self labor
Labor Certified 04-2004
I140/485 ND 08-06-2004
I140 AD 03-15-04
I-485 ??? LUD's -12/15/04,06/20/05
Lawyer made couple of inquiries.
Finally the LUD has changed to 06/20/05

The message is as below:

On June 20, 2005, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date,please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

What could it mean ?
Could it be the infamous "name check" that everyone is talking about ?

Of Course I will know from the lawyer in 1-2 days.
But I am still worried.

More likely an RFE

This looks more like an RFE. Why do you think it would be Namecheck. Namecheck is something that we get a response in a couple of hours from the Adjudication center ;-)
I hope you will get an approval soon

Hi Pdd123,

This is due to the inquiry that your lawyer made and USCIS provided a response to the query. You should get the details about the USCIS response from the lawyer. I don't think this is RFE. I am assuming that your LUD changed WITH the message that you posted?.

This IS NOT an RFE.

This could happen in two cases:

1. When you call NSC to report your address change
2. When you or your attorney make status enquiry.

Sometimes, USCIS sends a letter regarding the above.
 
Yes.
The lawyers have kept on inquiring about our cases.
Looks like they have sent something to the lawyers.
I have not heard from the lawyers yet.
But hope to hear soon.

This is the standard message that you get when you initiate a query regarding your case.

Not to burst your bubble or anything .... typically uscis just responds with a standard letter with some canned reasons (excuses)
- File with officer
- Pending system checks
- Pending security checks
- Undergoing detailed review

I hope its something different for you !!

5 inquiries

My lawyers have done 5 inquiries, they said they received 3 answers.
my online status description never changed, the date changed once.
does anyone know why ?

Hi All,

I called customer service about my pending I-485, the LUD changed and after couple of days I received a letter saying that my application was selected for 'detailed review', did anyone of you received similar letters.

Yes, we did get a letter abt 35 days after we made a phone enquiry.
It said - "Undergoing routine system checks".

Not to worry.,..As someone already commented, they just send out letters with one of the standard reasons.

Hello everyone,

Has anyone got RFE on 485 and approved. If yes , can you please tell me the timellines , how many days after RFE it got approved.
I responded to my RFE on July 1st and no response so far.

140 was approved.
485 pending

Nobody can tell. My replied RFE on 6/25 and they received on 7/8. 3 LUDS and after that. Got very confused because I got 4 different answers from 4 different inquiries. Can you believe that? And RFE doesn't necessarily means your Namecheck is cleared, GC could comes 2 years after RFE.
