Hello everyone :) ,

Great forum! First time posting and it seems like everyone is very helpful.

I am planning in taking a nice extended vacation and have some questions on what documents I need for traveling. I got my GC this year and have never traveled abroad. my NP is still valid for a few more years, do I use that?

i'm gonna be doing a lot of border crossing by land and i'm afraid that border patrols on roads are not as knowledgeable as they are at airports and might be lost if i present a rtd.

I'm planning in staying abroad for about 4 or 5 months. what do i use when i come back to the states?

Before reading this forum i was also planning in visiting my grandparents in my cop for about a week -or less (my grandma has very advanced alzheimer's and they're both really old) and I'd like to say hello to them at least one more time..BUT it seems like going back to COP is a really dumb thing to do, any opinions you guys can share based on actual experience and not just hearsay.

going back to COP is not a dumb thing if you have an important reason. And it seems that you do.

I am going back to cop.
what is as8? I was informed that as6, as7 usually have no problems going back to cop, I am as6.
just use your np and green card, better have re-enter permit.
