Hi all,
I have a question. I am LPR as of derivative asylee in USA. My question is, will I be ablee to travel abroad even COP with unexpired national passort of my home country and my GC without having RTD? Of course I can, but any problems at POE while returning...Honestly I am trying to save the RTD fee.
Regards,

Since you are a derivative asylee , I think you should be fine. The fear of persecution don't not necessarily apply to you unless the asylum case stipulate that your safety will be jeopardized if you went to COP. I know relatives who has done it. I used also my passport to travel for business ( not COP). Since I was main applicant , I was grilled a little bit in the citizenship interview.

Chances are you will be ok. If they question you during citizenship, you can tell them CIS advised you to do this, because they almost always do.

hello hagosea, good to see you again and to know u got your green card too. i just got my derivative status few weeks ago.. i am also looking for the answer to your question you raised here... good luck
