Hey everyone, long story short I'm a naturalized US citizen, born in Poland. I went to visit my family in Poland and met this wonderful 21 year old girl who came to visit me a couple times since. Currently she is here on a B2 visitor visa and came here about 2.5 months ago. We just got back from the Dominican Republic and got engaged there.
So obviously next course of action is getting married here. Her leaving and waiting for a K1 visa is out of the question because being apart for so long is unthinkable.
I'm 22 and a grad student, my part time AGI for 06 was about $18,500 so I'm above the poverty line (and could possibly get an affidavit from my parents who can help me out financially).
Question: Exactly what course of action do we need to do now? Do we get married and then fill out the i485 (change of status)? Do we need to file the 485 supp form (its expensive-$1000)? What else do we need to send to expedite this asap so she can get her license asap? Thanks to you all in advance!
