Lottery Visa - Changed Status with a day

Hi guys, a cousin of mine entered the lottery visa and this morning he said it showed that they had been selected but this afternoon when I checked the message showed the "NOT SELECTED."

Is it possible or was that person checking it smoking something?

There must be a problem or a trick pulled by your cousin.
There is practically no logical chances that a selected message turns to a not selected one.
So there can be 2 possibilities :

- a trick/joke made by your cousin
- a real problem with the ESC Home Page that may result in some changes (like happened in 2012 results)
 
A change from "not selected" to "dear selectee" is possible but not the other way around...if you are selected than you have to go thru the process to get the GC if you want to...but the "selected" option will not change...

It really happened ? From now on I will check my status every single day expecting a miracle ahah
jokes aside, I will still check it time to time just in case.
