Lost Re-entry permit

Hi Everyone, I had a travel document (reentry permit) on 2017 and it was expired on 2019. I noticed when I moved to my new house later on that the document is no longer with me. I heard from friends I will have to return it back along with my green card when the time come to become a citizen. I've sent an email to USCIS but unfortunately there respond was not helpful. any advice what can I do

I m not a expert or lawyer but I believe that is doesn't matter if you lost at the time of citizen . we human and we can make mistake or lost document they can understand.
