Can someone please help me out from the current situation?
I lost my Passport along with Visa and I-94 card. I am in the process of applying for duplicate passport here in SFO. I will also apply for I-94 card from Calif Service Center. Here are my questions:
1. What does it take to get the Visa?
2. Should I travel to India to get the Visa?
3. What if I would like to change the Job, so that I can get the new visa, once I get the duplicate Passport?
4. What if I would like to Transfer my H1b to new Employer?
5. Would it be possible for a Employer to give me a permanent position without my current Visa?
6. If I have to travel to India and get restamped in my Passport, what are the chances of Rejection / Approval?
My H1b was approved Sep '04 and is valid through Sep '07 (and +3 years). I have all my H1b papers / pitition, etc. I have copies of Passport with Visa stamp.
Please throw some light on this and help me out.
