Hi,

I have lost my job after 9 months of applying i-485. I have received second EAD and second AP. Please advice?

Thanks,
Kris.

search for a job in similar field

You have atleast 9 -16 months to do it....based on VSC processing speed
You are still legal...You can even work at Walmart or gas-station (Atleast you can pay your rent)

Thanks JAIC.

My employer is informing BCIS regarding my employment termination.

Do i need to take any action on this?

I was getting 80k, if i reduce my salary now, is there any issue? I am getting offers on hourly basis, can i work on this?

Thanks,

based on Various chats

Immigration office do not pay much attention to the salary......but field of work is extremely important

You have a long way to go before you get RFE. So for the time being take any job, even if is hourly. Actually, you can work on hourly also provided it is a 40hr/week full time job. Don't worry too much about salary. We have seen many cases getting approved with lesser salaries.

The blessing in disguise is that you lost your job after 9 months ( or in other words after working for 6 months with your sposoring employer). What I understood of AC 21 is that you are fine even if your employer informs BCIS and/or revokes your I-140. That is probably the good part.
The tougher part is to find a job ideally with same job title, description and salary. I have read here that many got approved with much less salary but that I believe is the pretrogative of the officer. So, try not to keep too much of varience in your salary though many of us are having not the same salay as of LC. The bottom line is take whatever comes in your way keeping above in mind since you have some time before your case will be adjudicated. Another rhing - try to be on W2 and not 1099 even if you are on hourly basis. This is as per my attorney.
All the best Kris.
