I will go abroad for business trip soon.
If I lose green card during my trip what should I do?
I think first year, people have pasport stamp so no problem for reentry.

Usually, [lost green card]=[lost pass port]=[stolen]
This case there are no evidence. Passport can reissue soon but green card.

1. Must I go US embassy?
2. Just say my A# at port of ently?

I am so sorry to ask this. But in case of emergency.

Recently my friend had Interview for GC. After completing his stamping since he was going to India very next day he asked officer if he looses the passport while in India what he should do?
Officer told him get a new passport and go nearest consulate they will issue him transportation letter, which can be used one time. After coming here BCIS will call you to local office and issue you green card after necessary checks.

Interesting thing is officer told him that some people tried to counterfeit the GC stamp, which is very simple, but they have caught many of them at the POE.
