I think that yes, you'll get a receipt right away, on-line, and will be able to print it. I never filed I-90 electronically, but I did file I-131 electronically and I got a receipt on-line immediately with the case number etc.

I'm gonna have to file I-90 because I can't find my GC anywhere for a couple of weeks already. I seem to have lost it on my recent vacation... :(
 
For those of you who have experience with I-90 due to losing GC.

Is it necessary to take a police report for biometrics appointment?

Appreciate real experience on this.
