Lost Documents

Guys I need an advice, what to do when the major documents have been destroyed ??? I can get the tax papers ordered and bank statements, but what to do with everything else? Im getting ready to file my I-751 to remove the conditions and the documentation is integral. What to do?

You know, if lost or destroyed, you can always get a new DL and new SS card and you can file to get replacement Green Card. And you can track down your old landlord and ask them to write you new reference letter or whatever…And from Florida state vital statistics office you can always order new Birth/Marriage/Divorce certificates.
Only personal staff, like pictures and letters are lost forever, if destroyed, but all the documents are restorable. It takes time and extra fees, but you can get back everything I can think of … even your immigration history file you can order by filing FOIA request.
Can you tell us what document was destroyed? Was it your passport or something else from your home country? You can get a new one, but it’s not that important for removal of conditions.

In a worst case scenario – if this is something absolutely critical to your case and you won’t be able restore it, I would just file the I-751 with whatever you already have and add extra affidavits from friends and relatives.
Good luck!
