I am a conditional resident (through marriage) who is in the process of removing "conditional" on my green card.
1. I applied for I751 not long ago
2. After I filed for I751, I lost my temporary Green Card (expires 3/2002).
3. I just got a receipt from INS extending my alien card for a year. It says processing my form (I751) will take a min of 120 days.
Here is my two question:
1. Should I replace my conditional green card by filing I-90 ($110) as soon as possible, or should I wait till I get a new green card from INS and save $110?
2. If my I-751 is approved, does INS sends me a new Green Card? or do they send me a letter stating that I need to stop by local INS office for picture taking or other matters?
Thanks in advance.
