I have a trip planned end of December with all the bookings done and I am not able to find my advance payroll that I was planning to use to re-enter US. I do have a photo copy of original. Is there something I can do.

Without the original AP or valid visa stamp, you will not be allowed in the plane. No other route you can do unless you find it or apply for new one (no replacement for lost ones)
