Lost Advance Parole letter

Hi - I lost my advance parole letter, but I have a photocopy. I have plans to travel to Japan next week but I am not sure if it's safe to go and come back with a photocopy of the parole letter. I have a 485 petition pending. Any advice is highly appreciated!

You must carry the original document. A photocopy is not valid. It actually states on the document itself that "the original" document must be presented to the airlines and presented to immigration inspectors. Sorry.

It is not. Try to visit your DO with the photocopy. They may be able to do something for sure. No guarantees but it is worth a shot.
