Lost 485 receipt!

All,

I have not received 485, AP, EAD Receipt notices from INS, its lost in the mail, tried explaining to INS no use, but I have LIN numbers for all. I got my AP and EAD later, now I want to renew my AP and EAD, will I have any problems filing for renewal with copy of I-485 receipt.
 
IF you have LIN# for I-485 then take the printout from BCIS online status attach that as proof of I-485 and in the cover letter you can also write that you lost the I-485 filing receipt and requested many time for duplicate I-485 receipt. Don’t for get to provide your A# your all pending LIN#, your DOB, and full name.
If lawyer filed I-485 he may have the receipt of I-485 filing

I will take a printout and remember to put my A#.. My attorney does not have a copy. My attorney also got back saying that a copy of the Check (front and back) will be sufficient to file for AP and EAD.

Hi All,
Both mine and my wife's 485 Receipt notices were lost in mail. I have 2 I-485 LIN's from the back of the checks I sent to INS. now Iam not sure which 485 receipt # corresponds to each of us.
Is there any way where I can associate the LIN # to the correct name.
I need to file for EAD extn soon and I need to fill in the correct 485 receipt #.
Attorney does not have copy or any info.

I am not sure if this will work... Callup the NSC and ask them if they can give you the I-485 receipt# based on your A#. I am not sure if this will work, but no harm in trying.

Thanks for the idea, do I need to call the INS 1800# or any number specific to NSC, can u give me if there is a specific numner for such enquiries.

you can provide your Name, DOB, reciept# try if they can give you your A# and better talk to senoir officers the person who picks up the phone is contractor

I already have the A#, I tried calling the 1800 # probably everybody had left for the day, i will try to speak to them tomorrow and update the thread.
