I am currently in L1 and my company kept me in US in loss of pay for one month. As they are expecting a project after a month and they cant give me salary till then , as i m unbillable. So for this one month I will get the salary slip with less salary.
If I take H1 offer from other company and if I go back to India on sep.
1. So while stamping , will this loss of pay duration in US may create any problem?
2. Can they ask, why was I in Loss of Pay?

H1B cap has been reached for FY 2006, assuming that you don't have U.S. masters' degree. You cannot convert your status from L1 to H1 in the first case.

Usually, the embassy personnel ask for the pay stubs of the current employer. If at all they ask, produce your last pay stub even though it shows less salary.

They may.

thnx fo rthe response Studious....
So , If they ask, why is loss of pay ,, And if I say I was on vacation for that period in US.Is that a weak point for me to get the H1 visa and is it termed as a out of status or being in US without any work.
So can it be a reason of my visa denial?

You should be fine. Take with you all the documents you have. If they deny visa at Chennai, it will be for some other reasons and not for lack of one pay stub from your previous employer. Good luck.
