We need to do something to get them back to share info. great-k, could you post something on rupnet to ask them back or the admin of this board, please broadcast a letter to everybody of old forum to ask them back?

We lost a lot of participants.

Frequent change of forum format and migration is usually a killer for a web application. I still do not know why they change the borad. The old one is much nicer although the new one has a bunch of functions which are almost useless.

is not the killer. The real killer is the requirement to renew your posting rights. I guess a lot of people were put-off when they were made to request access after each change.
Perhaps Monica (the site administrator) could do something about it? Like restoring access to all using her old user database?
 
This board used to be very informative. But now, each time I visit, I hardly see new posts. It is like a dead board.
 
People stop posting after their case is approved

I think that is natural. You get bored with same faces. YOu need some change also.
 
I totally agree with you

Actually I like the old fashion more. And at the first several days for the changing I even unwilling to visit this website although I know I may get a lot of useful information from it. But now I am gradually adapting to this new style. I think we should allow more time for guys to adapt to it and then they will come back.

But anyway, I still find this website is very useful and helpful.
