Looks like INS works 2-3 days a week on 485 approvals..i:e tuesday,wednesday thats when we see a few approvals after which no approvals

I don't think such conclusions are reliable given that very very few approvals are posted on this board.

May or may not be true

Was in SFO INS for stamping.
Overheard someone (looked like a lawyer) on the Cell phone.
Looks like she was out form a meeting she had with INS

Key points I got

1. Some issues still unresolved regarding policies (no clue which ones)
2. They are going to priortize GC processing (that should make everyone happy)
3. Still have not decided regarding some new checks. SHe even mentioned a name which I could not gather.
4. Increeasing staff
