There many EAD approvals for October 2002 time frame reported
in this forum over the last few days. Here is mine. Let's hope this
is a good sign also for all of us I-485 waiters.

Original I-485: WAC-01-290-5xxxx

Second EAD (Applied by myself):

I-765 WAC-03-006-5xxxx
RD Oct. 8, 2002
ND Oct. 9, 2002
Web page changed to "After approval..." April 21, 2003
Hope to get the card in two or three weeks.

seems like true

just checked the online status, my EAD along with my spouse's got approved today

EAD renewal RD 10/11/02

WAC-03-009-XXXXX

AOS wac : 02-034-XXXXX

Scanned some 3000 cases on the WAC 03-001 series last night and found a huge number of EAD cases approved around the last couple of weeks. BCIS is definitely cracking down on EAD approvals.

Hope it translates into reducing the 485 backlog!

Silly Man,

Your time is up buddy! :) You are going to be an adjustee no longer. I have a good feeling about May and you! Either RFE or approval! I am willing to take a few bets about that! :)

Well I hope ur right, but consider this, I am wac-02-046, they have 135 more untouched cases on that day. And they touch about 1 a day. :) You do the math :). 1 a day is their good pace that is.

Silly Man,

My answer to you is, look at EAD's. They sat on my EAD for over 6 months. Then suddenly, WHAM approved like 100 of them in 1 week. Most of the approvals I saw were around April 15 - April 18, And they are still firing them out. Just look at the EAD approvals around you.

Like you said, once EAD backlog is back to a normal 120 days. I think we will see the same kind of spurt in 485's. I think it is ridiculous the way they have backed it up to 2 years! WAC 02-046 still waiting? C'mon that is the bloody limit! They have to get cracking soon or they will face lawsuits for sure!

They take the money that we pay for processing of our cases and transfer it to the enforcement and border partol? They give a measly 5 % towards processing of our cases? That is a bloody joke.
