Hi Folks,

Thanks for your response.

Hi GC_OCEAN,
I am sure thinking of hiring him with the great portal he has given to us. I am worried about turnaround time in filing a petition. Small firms may turn out faster compared to big firms. That's reason for looking. Thanks again. - Kumaresh

Trust me dude,
Do not go for small firms, specially those with 1 man show or 2-3 ppl show firms. They are Not good period. I guess you should go to Rajeev or may be murthi. My experience was really bad with 1 man show/small firms in the immigration matters.
Thanks,

This is not true at all. My lawyer is not Rajiv Khanna but he is not small, may be like Rajiv Khanna. These lawyers assign a paralegal assigned to the case. Paralegal will contact me for all the documents and once the documents are given, usually filing is done the next day or on the same day. I never had a situation that I had to constantly followup with them. I am thinking Khanna also works the same way. As gckajadoo pointed out, you can try murthi also she is some where close to baltimore (its not driving distance). Having a lawyer at driving distance saves you lot of time in faxing, mailing and possibly reduces turn around time.

Thanks,
dont go to murthy, had a really bad atty assigned to my LC:
although I paid all legal fees he advised my employer many times against my interests, and when I told murthy this she shrugged her shoulders and said everything he did was legal.
sure, but as everyone knows, dual representation causes conflicts of interest, and when you pay the fees (as opposed to employer) you expect attorney to hold your interests as priority.
apparently murthy doesn't think so.

they are also not good at being available if you have urgent questions - typically takes them 3-4 days to get back by email, and phone appointments are usually not available for 1 week.
other firms hire paralegals to be available for small qs, my atty did not even have one.

expect better service from a firm that is charging as much as larger firms
