Long Wait In Delhi Counsulate--- Pls Advise

Hi folks,

I am in US at preset and applied for my 6th year extension.My visa stamp is till mid October.

I went to ttsvisas.com and found out that all the appointment reservations are booked till end of November , My brother's marraige is fixed on 23rd october , How can i get my visa stamped in that period of time since i got holidays only for 3 weeks and that to i have to beg my Desi company for doing mercy on me.

This can be the case with anyone, forget about marraige what if there is FAMILY EMERGENCY and you need to go immediately and your visa stamp has expired, does it mean that one would be stuck till the date he or she gets appointment in the DELHI INS.

Is there a way around this big queue.(Obviously if the reason is Genuine)

If you folks have any insight , please enlighten me ..

Try Emergency Appt

Contact them at this email found on this page. http://newdelhi.usembassy.gov/where_we_are_located.html#consulates.

I think you can request for an emergency appt when u select delhi as your consulate while booking an appt on http://www.ttsvisas.com.I am not sure about that . You can always ask them(embassy) to find out more details.

In my case( Chennai appt) i emailed them on 27th july and got an answer on 29th july to attend for an interview on august 2nd.The date i have on ttsvisas was december 8th 2005. ( I went for an H1b transfer as my extension of status was denied due to my stupid employer in usa.)
