Case number does not determine time of receiving NL
Case number does not determine date of interview provided you are current.
case number determines the date of the interview in the sense that you cannot interview until your case number is current. Once all of the numbers in your category are current, it's "first sent, first interview" kind of line.
As far as I understand, NLs are sent out based on the region, not Case numbers.
I do believe it's done once, after all of the applications have been received. But then, I don't work for KCC.
not necessarily. Our number was current in March, and our interview was in April.anyway the only thing is what u have said, once u are current for a month, u will be scheduled interviewed that month.

yeah, i said that a while ago. because ur number is current dosen't mean ur interview will be that month. The number being current means that there's an immigrant visa available for you but KCC will try to schedule ur interview around the busy schedule of the U.S embassy in your country.
Just why will KCC schedule the interview around the busy time?

Thats it.or is it that not all number that is current will make it for the interview?
The questions are straight-forward and easy to answer if you don't have any issues [criminal back-ground, deportation, over-stayed visa , etc].it is more advantageous to get your form filled by a legal practitioner?

So I'm going to make a real daft and stupid question, but I'm sorry, i'm new and someone has to explain this stuff to me.
I have applied for DV 2008, and I got no reply. I read the instructions and since I got no reply by mail, I was not a winner. I'm going to apply again for Dv 2009.
1) What do the abbreviations you use on this forum mean? Such as NL, AOS etc?
2) What's the deal with Numbers becoming current, cut off dates etc? I mean the instructions say that if you receive a letter from KCC, you are a winner. What happens next. I managed to figure out that you have to send some papers to KCC and then you get an interview scheduled in your country. What's it with cutoffs and numbers though?
3) What do the numbers in the bulletin mean? Such as 9200 for europe?
Help please, thanks
