I brought my wife to the USA in December 2024 on the H4 visa. Since then, she has been staying at her relative's house in another state because I am staying near my work site with my friend. I didn't sign a new apartment lease because I plan to change my job. I just wanted to know the location compliance for H4 visa holders. As far as I know, there is no such compliance for H4 visa holders, but what things need to be taken care of if we are planning to apply for a change of status from H4 to F1 in the near future? She just came 4 months ago and she doesn't have any US ID or documents, like a license, bank statement representing her resident location as proof. Will there be any challenge related to the resident's address if she is planning to apply for a change of status?
