local transfer/finger print

my case was transfered to local office on the 6th of april in detroit and i have done my first finger printing on the 6th of january 2003. It looks like mine was expired. Do I have to go to the local office to request for the second finger printing or they will send me the letter automattically. Please advise me what to do. I am still waiting for the interview notice from the detroit office. Do you think it's faster if I go and request for the second finger printing. thanks
