Folks:

Any one have any latest guidance on local offices asking for DE6 report (in CA) and similar payroll reports (in other states)for establishing the employer's ability to pay the wages.

This in addition to--

-- Company's W2 for last 2 years
-- Annual report
-- Any other similar ones.

For smaller/privately held companies, they ask for it even if the interview letter did not specify in some cases based on several threads here.

How to i get these from employer (sealed of course)and do you have any experience with it? May be request from attorney to the company...

P.S: For those who do not know this, here is 'vipsha's summary in a different thread.

Form DE6 is the quarterly wage and withholding report for California employers. The form is used to report wage and payroll tax withholding information for California employers. In a way, it is the California equivalent of the Form 941 except the detailed withholding for each employee is reported. In this way, the form replaces the requirement of W2 filing with California. DE6 contains the State tax withholding information for all California employees.

Thanks

I also got RFE sometime in June for DE-6 forms from the company apart from W2s, tax returns, pay stubs and EVL. My Employer was able to send them to the lawyer. According to our Employer, It is easy to prepare and send it.
