Local office interview questions

I am the new comer as my friend refers me to here. :) Here are my questions and thanks in advance.

My wife and I got an interview notice at local office next month (employment based immigration).

1) Normally what is the dress code for this kind of interview? As job-hunting professional?

2) Current letter of employment. My wife (dependent) quitted her job this year. Is this a problem?

3) If the applicant has ever been arrested for anything other than a traffic violation, a certified court disposition must be provided for each arrest. Several years ago I got arrested and convicted of simple misdemeanor. I have already had the copy from the court, but I don't have the certified one. Is it OK I just provide the copy that I have?

4) I learn that the interview will be video taped. Never heard of that before. Is this normal?

5) Usually what are the questions for a typical interview?

Thanks again! :)

DO NOT wear a suit and make a ass out of yourself. Business casual are fine. The mexican ahead of you in the queue might have paint stains on the work overalls he is wearing.

I wore a suit for my interview and I was actually complimented by my interviewer who stated my choice of attire showed respect and professionalism.

Armie,
Your comments are rather derogatory. Some of those Mexicans are a strong part of the backbone of this country and may not have anything better to wear. I wish you luck but you have some maturing to do. The essence of our struggle becoming residents of this country is to become part of this magic country that welcomes diversity and demands respect for such.

Not that I agree with him, but isn't he being 'diverse' by being different than you (or I)? :) As for his choice of attire, why not try a thong? Technically it should not affect your I-485 application (perhaps maybe the medical will need to be re-done with an emphasis on checking evidence of sanity), but we don't do it for a very good reason.

So long as you wear a conservative business attire(that means no bright orange sparkling rubber tuxedos), you can't go wrong.
