Living outside the U. S. for a year and two weeks

My mother is a permanent resident card holder and she's been living outside the U. S. for a year and two weeks for health reasons she is not beeing allowed to fly at this moment. She is 77 years old. How long can she live outside the U. S. with out loosing her permanent resident card?. Thank you
