I called the 800 number on 07/29 and asked about the status of my case. The lady was real nice, she took all my info and said that I should hear something in about 3-4 weeks. Well, I received a letter from VSC Friday and it states " It appears that the center is awaiting current finger print results to make the final decision on this case ". I had my 2FPs done on 06/17/03 and per FBI my finger prints were cleared and sent back to VSC on the 20th of June. So I called the 800 number AGAIN and this time she transferred me to VSC. After a 5 min wait, an officer came on the line and asked for the receipt number and the filing date and told me that he does see that they have received my finger print results and I should hear something ( RFE, Approved or Transferred ) in 30 to 45 days........
