Thanks for the link. I liasten to the questioning part. The congressman and women had many good points. One of them ask CIS to "work smarter not harder". Also the number of backlog is 3.7 out of 6 million pending case, i.e. 3.7 million cases are waiting for longer than 6 months. The director CIS is very diplomatic, so I am not sure he has any actual plan to reduce the backlog, even though he keep saying the will reach the goal in 2006. Anybody heard the deposition by him? Rsur? what plan he offered?

This is his reply

Right benefit, right time....blah..blah..security checks...blah..blah...inherited problems...blah...president wants open arms not endless lines...blah...delays in approving increased fees...blah...frivolous applications...blah...reduction goal is 2006... blah..blah...blah

Nothing significant, the same things we have been hearing for a while now. Ok, time to get back in line, who knows we may get picked for out of turn processing. ;)
