LIN number question.

Hello All,

I have a question about the LIN number. Is it dependent on RD or ND?

My LIN number is LIN-01-251-XXXXXX and my RD is 7/23. But On the rupnet tracker I have seen people with LIN-01-251 and RD from 07/18. How do you relate the LIN number with RD or ND?

The LIN number is based on ND. The actual computation is the number of working julian days since Oct 1, 2000.

So even though, the RDs are different for the same LIN-01-xxx, my best bet would be that the NDs on Rupnet would be the same.

hopeful_il is right. LIN# is calcd on ND. I have done this exercise couple of times earlier and the LIN# matches with ND(#of days) considering only INS business days.

Thanks for the replies.

But , I could see people with Same ND as of me have different LIN number and also people with same LIN number having different NDs.

Just more confusing.
