Congratulations!!

Nice to know that NSC is working on early September cases. I have had my FP done around late April '02, and I have been wondering why I get the same message as you had been getting, but now I know that message may not get updated till my approval.

Thanks for the post and Congrats again!!!

:o
That is wonderful.
My LIN number is about a month behind yours. Hope I get GC a month later.

Can I be that lucky?

Congrats. Does NSC process in the Lin Number working day order ? ie. LIN-02-001-xxxxx, LIN-02-002-xxxxx, LIN-02-003-xxxxx... ?

Congratulations Fellow!! Good luck. Your case gives us an idea that the website gets updated atleast once after early morning and before 10.00 AM. Anyways, good luck again.

Hi fellowgc

Congratulations!! Can you tell us how you informed INS about job change?

==> Informed INS about job change.

There have been two opinions (among attorneys) as whether one should inform INS of job chnage after 180 days.

Let's say we should inform INS, but there are neither INS forms nor procedures. To help us, please let us know:

1) Did you inform INS on your own or through your attorney?

2) What INS form did you use to inform the change?

3) What are documents that you submitted (new employment letter with title, job description and salary; resignation/layoff letter from/to old emplyer; 485 receipt; copy of EAD; what else?)

Thanks for your help!!!!

My attorney.

2) What INS form did you use to inform the change?
There is no such form to fill out. You simply need a cover letter saying that since 180 days had passed since I-485 was filed and new job is similar to the one in LC, you are entitled to benifits of AC-21.

3) What are documents that you submitted (new employment letter with title, job description and salary; resignation/layoff letter from/to old emplyer; 485 receipt; copy of EAD; what else?)

1. Last Pay stub indicating that you stayed with sponsor past 180 days
2. a job letter from new employer suggesting similar job to one in LC

luckily no enquires

Does your prevailing wage match to you new job?

Does your prevailing wage match to you new job?
Can it be a contraint to chage a job with EAD?
Actually, my prevailing wage on LC is much higher than my actual.
Do you have any experience regarding this?

generally desi sponsors may pay less during GC processing and salary on LC could be different or more which is tied to prevailing wage. Since filing a LC is indication that sponsor will give that salary upon GC approval, if you change job to a lower salary than prevailing wage, I would think that it would cause issues. Maybe a reference in new employer letter that they would pay you that salary once you have approval would be fine. Who knows?

pls. have this confirmed from a lawyer as this is no legal advise and just my logical guess.
