Limit of stay on advance parole question

Hi Guys,

Is there a limit to how long you can stay outside the country on advance parole. My wife wants to go back for a couple of months. On the advance parole application, I saw that the lawyer put in 1 month as the length of stay outside the us. Is it ok to go for 2 months.

Any thougths..

yeah its ok. she can stay for the time AP is valid but come back before it expires. My wife went for 2 months. But while coming back - the office may ask why did u stay so long. They asked my wife. But thats for information only. Dont worry.
 
Thanks for the info. I think she will be fine if she stays there for 2 months.

My wife stayed for 4+ months. She entered US one day before AP expiry date. No problems/question asked while entering US.
 
I got a question.....

Mine and my wife's H1B visa expired. She is planning on travelling on AP. Is it O.K? She is travelling first time on AP, does she need to get the passport stamped or something.

Any help much appreciated
 
No problem at all. Just make sure to check the Transit Visa requirements with an AP. I have traveled extensively on AP for 3 years, absolutely no problem.
