It's been 6 months since my case got transferred, and my lawyer said that he can write a letter to VSC to bring out their attention, not necessarily expedite my case. But he said he is charging me $125.00 for the letter.
Do you think it's worth trying?

$125 to write a letter and that too promises no outcome ? Do it yourself buddy and save yourself some money. I dont think it is ethical for your lawyer to ask for mnoey just to write a letter. Ask in the forum, I am sure you will find many people, who have sent letter/fax asking the status of their case and drawing INS's attentino.

if your case got transferred, then a letter to VSC will do no good.

you have to write to the local office, as they have your file now.

or you can go in person and ask to speak to the "officer on site"

take all necessary docs with you.

call USCIS 800# for local office info

in my opinion, lawyers letter is a waste of money.
