Gurus,
My wife, derivative applicant received the physical card and I didn't receive even approval letter. Later I stamped my passport at local INS office at Bloomington,MN and the officer was not sure about my physical card [Please see my details in the signature]. Today I received a mail from local office stating that my application was approved(485?) and I need to fill one more form. I am scheduled to go the Application support center(ASC) at St.Paul,MN[ where my FBI fingerprints were taken before] and they also wanted to fill attached I-90 form.

- Is anyone in my situation?
- Are they categorizing my case "for replacing a card that was never received"?
- Do I need to take FBI fingerprint check again for the card?

Thanks,
Ceejay

----- did you gave your your fingerprint and signature on White form at the time of Interview?
--- Did the Local office took your index fingerprint and signature on white form at the time you did your passport stamping?
** I suspect the officer has not taken your fingerprint on white form(that is sent for Card production) or he did not get good fingerprint
I am scheduled to go the Application support center(ASC) at St.Paul,MN[ where my FBI fingerprints were taken before] and

---- I am confused about the form I-90, I-90 is filed for replacement of Card but you did not recieved the card, May be they want form I-90 for Lost card
- Is anyone in my situation?
- Are they categorizing my case "for replacing a card that was never received"?
----May be, becase they are asking for I-90 form.
- Do I need to take FBI fingerprint check again for the card?
---- I dont think FBI Check is needed for the CARD, FBI check was compleated before your I-485 was approved.

***Please update after your visit why they needed I-90?
Thanks,
Ceejay

Thanks ginnu

Thanks Ginnu for your reply. Yes, I gave the fingerprint in a form twice - during interview and passport stamping. They might be considering my case as "lost green card" as you said. I will definitely post my experience after the appointment.

But, can I safely say that my green card is approved because I have stamping in the passport?

Thanks
Ceejay

I appeared at Application support centre (ASC), St.Paul on May13th. They got my fingerprint on I89 form (which I already did twice - one during the interview and another one during passport stamping) and also submitted two photographs. Also, I was asked to fill the I-90 form, where I was told to leave the column "Reason for application" unchecked(because the officer is not sure himself). He didn't collect the fee also because he told that the 485 fee is enough.

When I asked about the reason for this process, the officer told me that it is a new process and is applicable everyone now for getting the physical card!! He himself is not aware why NSC is doing this.

Is anyone in the same boat?
