Letter of experice from colleague

I recently applied for my I140 (Dec 23, 2002). Since I could not get letter of experience from my previous employer, I asked one of my friend (who was my colleague then) to give me a letter stating that I was working with him in the aforesaid company.

Any idea if this will be an issue?
