Letter from my Local Office!

Hey guys as some of you know my AOS interview that was scheduled for July 13th was canceled by USCIS. I received a Notice Of Action regarding the cancellation from Lees Summit via Snail Mail.

Ok, so today I check my mailbox and I get a letter from my LOCAL OFFICE (Los Angeles) stating to appear on July 31st. The reason; "Interview regarding your Adjustment of Status Application, Form I-485" and it says to ask for "DISTRICT ADJUDICATION OFFICER" The letter was sent by the USCIS District Director. Now my question is, is this good news or bad news? I have heard that AOS interviews were rescheduled by USCIS from Lees Summit, this is just a regular letter from my local office.

Should I still go to my regular interview and see what happens or could we get in trouble?

Does anyone know what CM/YM means?

Thanks for the scan. But I believe the reschedule comes from your DO. So I would do as they say here... :eek:

Bring that new appointment letter and prepare for your interview.
 
You can always try... but do not lie and say "I have not received a ______ (insert whatever here)".

You can just bring your original letter and say I came for my interview.

Let us know how it goes.
 
go on july 31st..

Espo, dude go on july 31st. If I were u, I would do it....you have recvd 2 notices so far. this time God almighty wants to meet you on July 31...good luck !!
Remember the word "perjury" and just go on july31, your local office sent you this 2nd notice, don't even try to go on the 13th...besides it's "friday the 13th".

PS: What you received is a "General Call-in Letter (Form G-56) ". I think, you should relax and go to this interview on the 31st.

Hey kkboy! Good to hear from you. Are you still pending namecheck? As far as me going to the interview on the 13th, it wouldn't be perjury because I dont plan on lieing. If they ask me if I received the cancellation letter im going to say YES. And tell them that I just wanted to make sure that it was really canceled and maybe get some additional information, but i get were you are coming from. There is a very good chance that it was really canceled if I get a reschedule from my local DO
 
ESPOMAN what other proof do you need that your interview has been rescheduled? Security might not even let you in on the 13th. There is no point going on the 13th, just gon 31st instead. NO need to paranoid ok!
 
My take is that your case maybe is preadjudicated and they just want you there so that they can take a few papers etc from you.
Why would you go for ther interview when it was cancelled.
Just go on the 31st. You have a letter from the DAO.
Never mess with the officers.15 days doesnt make a difference.

Yeah you are right, we are just going to wait till the 31st
