Hi,

I will be going to Toronto to get H1 stamped. F1 -> OPT -> H1.

My company gave me a letter which indicates my position and salary. It is addressed to the US Consulate and requests that I be given the H1 stamp. Does not mention any other thing and the joining date is not mentioned either. On asking the company legal person she indicated that this should be enough as all other details are mentioned in the letter the company gave when I filed for my H1 (earlier with I129). She mentioned that the earlier letter mentions the job description, about the company, that I was on OPT etc. She suggested that I might give the copy of the earlier letter with the letter HR is giving now. The company HR is not willing to change the letter they have given me for Toronto.

Do you think I am okay with the letter I am having now?

Thanks.

if you have lawyer certified I-129 and LCA and cover letter attached with I-129 from lawyer side when they submitted H1b petition to legacy INS or BCIS, you may be OK with this letter as they can verify the petition
