Lets track New York case Transfers

My case was transferred on Oct 16th to local INS office in NY.
I haven\'t heard any message since then. Any body in the same boat
please share the information.

RD Dec 6 th, ND Dec 22nd EB2 India, case has transferred
on Oct 16/ 01. If any body is in similar situation please
post your information.

MY CASE WAS TRANSFERD ON AUG 24/01.
DETALIS EB3 OTHERS NDSEP-00. NO NEWS YET I WILL POST IF I GET ANY INFO.I AM OUT OF PATIENCE.
 
This may be useful

Some bodys case was transferred in the last week of July/01
and they issued RFE in NOV from local INS office. I guess
it takes 4 months, it is only assumption.
 
I think it takes longer

You might make it take longer if you don\'t bring a lawyer and then request a lawyer. They might allow you to find a lawyer and when you come back hopefully in the extra time you get the similar job.

Based on this, I can say it is safer to go without a lawyer to gain time. I am I wrong?

I am new to the I-485 process. I have a question for all the gurus.
Does the case always get transferred to local office after processed by VSC? Thanks a lot!
 
my case was filed to NYC local directly

my lawyer told me they got a notice from INS that NYC applicants should file to NYC llocal directly insetad of VSC. Is that true? I am told by local IIO that I should expect my GC in 2 years. Is my lawyer doing wrong? It\'s so frustrating.......
